The
Living Room @ 11.00 o’clock – The Church building
'Space for faith
and family to grow'
The
Living Room
is a service aimed at the whole family – from new born babes right the way
through to great grandparents! Wherever you are on the Christian journey –
whether you are an enquirer or have been a Christian all your life there is
a place for you at The Living Room.
The
concept of The Living Room is to enable a community to grow that is
based on Acts 2:42: "They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching,
and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer." To this
end our ‘service’ is split into three sections:
-
1:00
– 11:30: In this section we enjoy singing God’s praises – normally these
will be modern songs led by either a guitar or keyboard. During this
time is also where we welcome into our community young and old by
baptism and dedication. Once a month we break bread together in an
‘all-age’ communion.
-
11:30 -11:50: In this section we concentrate on building friendships
over a cup of real coffee, tea or a soft drink and biscuits or
cake.
-
11.50-12:25: In this section there is a choice of venues:
-
The Church building itself – for high quality teaching on a biblical
passage – this sometimes will be interactive. This is followed by a
time of prayer.
-
The church extension where there is teaching aimed at the 4-11’s.
(There are toys available for the under 4’s!) – you are also welcome
to stay in the extension to drink more coffee!
-
The prayer tent – located in our ‘stable block’ 20 metres or so away
– where you are welcome to come and have some ‘time out’ with God
Our aim
is that you leave refreshed and ready for the week ahead!
