'Space for faith and family to grow'
The concept of The Living Room is to provide a space for you to feel as relaxed as you would in your own living room and to enable a community to grow that is based on Acts 2:42: "They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching, and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer." To this end our ‘service’ is split into three sections:
11:00 – 11:30: Welcome / Worship / Prayer: In this section we enjoy singing God’s praises – normally these will be modern songs led by a worship group. During this time is also where we welcome into our community young and old by baptism and dedication. Once a month we break bread together in an ‘all-age’ communion.
11:30 -11:50: Tea / Coffee / Cakes: In this section we concentrate on building friendships over a cup of real coffee, tea or a soft drink and biscuits or cake.
11.50-12:25: Teaching : In this section there is a choice of venues:
The Church building itself – for high quality teaching on a biblical passage – this sometimes will be interactive. This is followed by a time of prayer.
The church extension where there are activities for 0-4's organised by our Runway team and teaching for the 4-11’s. you are also welcome to stay in the extension to drink more coffee!
The prayer tent – located in our ‘stable block’ 20 metres or so away – where you are welcome to come and have some ‘time out’ with God
