With Lovexx

Is a termly celebration for all ladies. We issue a magazine with articles about various things going on in St Thomas plus book reviews, recipes, poems, testimonies etc
Then we follow that with an evening celebration together. Enjoying each other’s company, we worship, love, laugh and cry. Always looking at how we can learn to love more and more. Here is what we did at our latest celebration-

Fun- we played dress the baby- half the church were responsible for dressing the boy (Joshua) and the other half the girl (Gertrude) and the clues were in the pews! After an awful lot of running around Joshua’s team won by a bootie, only somehow the boy ended up in the girl’s clothes and vice versa. I must stress no babies were hurt in the performing of this game as dolls were used!!
We had three boxes of beautiful cup cakes made by, and donated by Maria from Cupcake Express (
cupcakeexpress@rocketmail.com) they were themed, valentine, chocoholic and pink gift and one in each box read With Love. Three lovely ladies won them and shared them with friends.

Love- We heard how one of our girl’s Louise was blessed when we sent her a card with messages on and photos of our previous celebration. We made DVD messages for our mission partners. We spoke about the beautiful blankets that have been so lovingly knitted by various ladies and then given to people who are undergoing chemo. Jane had one with her and offered it to anyone who knew of someone that it would bless. The offer was taken up and it is now blessing a lovely gentleman. We brought along gifts for a local women’s centre, which have now been wrapped and decorated and are awaiting delivery. They look fantastic and I was blown away by the generosity of everyone and the stunning quality of the gifts we have 60 presents- WOW........and there is more we took another Agape collection to bless ladies in the church and community who need a hug and we raised....wait for it.......£406 I cannot believe that the girls continue to be so amazingly generous each time we meet.... you are truly excelling in Love. Xx

Worship- Of course the whole evening is an act of worship however whenever we get together to sing it truly sounds as though the angels have come to join us, our worship was led beautifully and then the girls from ‘Fresh’ the youth group sang over us it was truly moving.

Finally we considered friendships and the people who we brush shoulders with through our lives. The importance of working at our friendships and relationships and the damage that disagreements can cause. Then we were asked one last question which was – Do you know Jesus?

The date for the next celebration will follow shortly.
