Men, Politics and.....God!

Our Men4God (M4G) gathering at the St. Toms Church Building on Thursday night 22 April, started as always with donuts and coffee / tea!

As it was the night of the Second Live Debate with the leaders of the main national political parties on SkyNews we had live feed running using the wi-fi connection at the Building to set the scene as the fellas arrived.

Danny Stupple had prepared material on the recent Ash Cloud and posited the idea that maybe the Lord was speaking and that we could anticipate a "clearing away" of confusion - we shall see!

Danny then helped us analyse the manifestos by looking for kingdom perspectives with a highlighter and seeing which one stood out, as a way of helping to vote wisely.

We then had a presentation on the local political scene with regard to new initiatives, such as Eastleigh Riverside, The Point, The Local Childrens Partnership and discussed how we might get involved as representatives of the the Third / Faith / Voluntary sector. In this regard, the Sunnybank - A Centre for Wellbeing project was also presented with the latest details.

We closed with the ARK presentation in readiness for Big Sunday and prayed that the day went well.

All in all we sensed an incredible time of opportunity to transform the locality for Jesuswas about to occur and M4G want to play their part!
