1: Be a meeting place for Christians in Wyvern
2: Be in the mess with young people, no matter where they are at The Mess Training: This is run on a Thursday lunchtime in RE2 (Mrs King's room) and is solely to train our young people who know Jesus and are moving on in their faith. They are being trained in how they can share their faith in an effective way in their school. When they are ready they will get a badge which simply indicates that they are Christians and want to share what they believe. The Mess Afterschool: This is an after school club aimed at meeting need in Wyvern. The Mess Training will play a large part in this as young people being trained will be running The Mess Afterschool. The plan is to support the Personal Development team at the school in tackling social issues such as drug, alcohol and sex awareness. The young people will be using various means to do this (film, drama, discussion groups etc). There will be no preaching at The Mess Afterschool. It is simply a way of supporting the staff and students at Wyvern.
