We start at 10:30am as follows:
FLIGHT DECK (Years R – 6 inclusive) Join us in the Wyvern Main Hall for an exciting programme of worship, teaching, activities and prayer. You are very welcome to stay with your child and there is a RUNWAY Creche available. The meeting finishes at 12pm when everyone gathers back in the Windows on Wyvern Café as family.
QUENCH (Years 7 – 11 inclusive) Meet in the Gym for Worship lead by years 10+ until 11am. Bible teaching and ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit is normally to be expected.
FOCUS (Years 10 – 13+) Peel off from QUENCH from about 11.00am for a two-stream teaching opportunity:
(1) Theology
(2) LifeSkills
both of which offer Bible teaching in a relaxed, discussion based style. Together with QUENCH and FLIGHT DECK, this finishes at 12pm and all meet in Windows on Wyvern as family.
EMERGE – Our Adult Meeting.
We stay in the Windows on Wyvern Café from 10:30am to 11am to enable our friends to meet other friends and enjoy building relationships together on a Sunday morning. We then go over to the Nursery Hall at 11am for a meeting which will start with declaring the values of the Kingdom of God in song together. This will then be followed by Kingdom News in the Community to let everyone know what the Lord is doing in our locality and then a Kingdom message, with emphasis upon life application and hope, will be given to encourage both believers and their friends. We are also committed to sending out on a monthly basis ARK Teams to bless the community. Acts of Random Kindness are the way in which the Lord has asked St. Thomas’ to express His unconditional love to people. Clearing gardens, decorating houses and generally acting as His ‘hands and feet’ is a call upon us to reflect His kindness to everyone.
The meetings normally finish with a short prayer to thank God for all that he is doing and then we return to join our children and young people in the Windows on Wyvern Café at 12pm as family.
We then all stay together for coffee and relaxed friendship time and we encourage many to then go on with their friends back home for a Fuel meal.
On the first Sunday of the month, we have a gathering around the Lord’s Table, so we spend the first part of our time altogether in the Main Hall before going to our own meetings as above.
In addition each term we hold Big Sundays which seek to engage with our culture in the celebration of the festivals that it considers to be important, including, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
In all these ways, we hope to convey the love of God and his preference for ‘others’.
